Required Candidate Skills :
Applicant must possess essential qualification/degree as on 31.12.2014 in any of the following disciplines from a recognized Institution /University :
1) A qualified Chartered Accountant ; or
2) A qualified Company Secretary ; or
3) A qualified Cost/Works Accountant; or
4) M.Com (Master of Commerce).
The qualification must be obtained from the Professional Body concerned viz, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/Institute of Company Secretaries of India/Institute of Cost Accountants of India in respect of (i) ,(ii), and (iii) respectively and a recognized Institution/University in respect of (iv).
Note : The appearance of the candidates in the examination will be purely on a provisional basis and failure to produce the certificate as to the above qualification at the time of scrutiny of documents will make the candidates ineligible in the examination. No extension of time in this regard or any request for relaxation in qualification would be entertained under any circumstances.

Mode of Selection : The mode of selection is through an All India Examination. The examination will consist of two papers : Paper-I : General English and General Aptitude/Awareness. Paper- II : Financial Management/Cost Accounting/Tax and Commercial Laws.
Work Location: Across India
Examination Fee : OC/OBC candidates will be required to submit Exam Fee for an amount of Rs.1000/- through online mode only. No amount of fee shall be accepted in any other from and no postal application shall be accepted. Applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories only are exempted from the examination fee.

In order to manage efficiently and better way U. P. Telecom Circle was bifurcated on 01.04.1995 into two separate Circles viz. U. P. (East) Telecom Circle with Headquarter at Lucknow and U. P. (West) Telecom Circle with Headquarter at Dehradun ( at Present Meerut). The Circle is headed by an officer of the rank Chief General Manager and is assisted by one PGM(D) and nine General Managers for Operation, Mobile Services (03 GMs), Marketing, NC, Business Development, Land & Building, WLL, Telegraph and Finance and two Chief Engineers(Civil and Electrical) at headquarter. Apart from this there are one Principal General Manager for Lucknow , Thirteen GM in Major Telecom District and Nineteen Telecom District Managers at minor Telecom District in the field. Total around 16 thosand employees are there to manage BSNL UP East Telecom Services.
